Chocolate Red Velvet Cake

      Chocolate Red Velvet Cake for my parents anniversary. 07/10/1967 adalah mak & ayah punya ulang tahun perkahwinan...mereka  tak ingat pun.. Saya je la buat makan2 sikit coz there's nothing i can give to appreciate your sacrifice for being patient to raise me & siblings. Chocolate Red Velvet Cake is not an ordinary Cake, it was a very speacial cake because i made it from my heart just for u! Aku sengaja je buat Red Velvet Cake tu campur dengan Chocolate Cake, atas permintaan ramai la katakan, yang buatnya sorang... tu yang jadi chocolate red velvet. Tu pun nasip baik tak ada yang minta Strawberry Cake, kalau tak jadi la 3 layer Kek Chocolate Red Strawberry..he..he..
     Ni aku nak kongsi resepi untuk buat Red Velvet Cake, mana2 aku tengok resepi kek ni sama je. Kat blog dapur tanpa sempadan ke, blog inahar cooking time ke, cuma tepung je ada yang 2 1/2 cup, ada yang  2 cup je. pastu ada yang letak baking powder, ada yang tak letak pun.. Macam aku... aku ikut dari buku 'mom recipe'. 
     Resepi kek coklat & kek strawberry tu korang pun tau kan!!!


 Chocolate Red Velvet Cake

 
Yaya tengah makan spagetti sambil mempromosikan kak yang dia tolong hias he..he..

Red Velvet Cake Recipe
 
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1/2 cup butter
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon pure vanilla
1 cup buttermilk ( i only use 1 cup fresh milk + 1 teaspoon vinegar )
2 tablespoons liquid red food colorin
1 teaspoon white distilled vinegar
1 teaspoon baking soda
  
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and place rack in center of oven. Butter two – 9 inch (23 cm) round cake pans and line the bottoms of the pans with parchment paper. Set aside.
- In a mixing bowl sift together the flour, salt, and cocoa powder. Set aside.
- In bowl beat the butter until soft (about 1-2 minutes). Add the sugar and beat until light and fluffy. 
- Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Scrape down the sides of the bowl. Add the vanilla extract and beat until combined.
- In a measuring cup whisk the buttermilk with the red food coloring. With the mixer on low speed, alternately add the flour mixture and buttermilk to the butter mixture, in three additions, beginning and ending with the flour.
- In a small cup combine the vinegar and baking soda. Allow the mixture to fizz and then quickly fold into the cake batter.
 - Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 25 – 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cakes comes out clean.
- Cool the cakes in their pans on a wire rack for 10 minutes. Place a wire rack on top of the cake pan and invert, lifting off the pan. Once the cakes have completely cooled, wrap in plastic and place the cake layers in the freezer for at least an hour. (This is done to make filling and frosting the cakes easier.)


Cream Cheese Frosting
250ml whipping cream
200ml cream cheese
1/2 cup confectioner sugar
Mix everything in a big bowl and whip the cream until stiff peaks formed.
   
 Begini la rupa adunan yang da di mixer sebelum di bakar..

 
Wipping krim & cheese cream serta icing sugar yang da siap untuk di sapu pada kek..


 Kek yang sudah siap di sapu krim..


Hah...bab hias-menghias ni memang fail!!
Nasip baik ada pengikut yang sudi menolong..ha..ha..
